Seat Occupant Classification Module - Air Bag: Testing and Inspection

OCM With Sensor Mat Inspection

CAUTION:  Do not remove OCM with sensor mat from front passenger seat cushion assembly. When replacing OCM with sensor mat, be sure
to replace front passenger seat cushion assembly.

If any faulty condition is found in the following checks, replace them with new one.

Check OCM connector for damage, cracks and lock mechanism.

Check OCM terminal for bend, corrosion and rust.

Check that surface of front passenger seat is free from hard bend and tear.
