Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Service and Repair

Transmission Range Sensor Removal and Installation 

Removal 

1) Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2) Remove air cleaner assembly.
3) Shift manual select lever (1) to "N" position.

Insert special tool to aligning hole on manual select lever (1) and check that the position of aligning hole on transmission range sensor (2) as
shown in figure.

4) Remove clip of select cable and disconnect select cable from manual select lever.

5) Disconnect transmission range sensor connector.
