AFFECTED VIN(S): 
6K234754 - 6K341785 (Built between and including these VIN sequence
breakpoints)

CONDITION:
Excessive oil consumption or exhaust smoke.

CAUSE:
Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) restrictor may be missing or loose in the cylinder head cover.

CORRECTION:
Check all affected vehicles described below in your dealership's inventory or are brought into your dealership with a complaint of excessive oil
consumption or smoke from the exhaust.

Check for a yellow paint mark at the cylinder head cover PCV hose connection (refer to figures in steps 5 and 6). If yellow paint is present, no further
action is necessary. The cause of this complaint is not related to this TSB; refer to the service manual for further diagnosis.

When no yellow paint is present, proceed with the 0.1 hr. inspection described in this TSB. If the PCV restrictor is missing or loose, replace the
cylinder head cover. See the "Part(s) Information" in this TSB.
