Check for the restrictor in the PCV nipple.

If the restrictor cannot be seen, place a 3mm drill bit into the opening. If the drill bit cannot be inserted, do not replace the cylinder head cover.
Reinstall the PCV hose and clamp. Continue to step 5.
NOTE:
Excessive oil consumption or smoke is not related to the condition described in this TSB. Further diagnosis is required.

If the drill bit can be inserted the restrictor is missing. Replace the cylinder head cover using the appropriate service manual procedure;
continue to step 5.

If the restrictor in the PCV nipple is loose, replace the cylinder head cover using the appropriate service manual procedure; continue to step 5.

If the restrictor is visible and firmly mounted in the cover (visible weld flashing is seen), reinstall the PCV hose and clamp. Continue to step 5.
