Before adjusting fast idle speed, ambient temperature should be between 71°F-82°F (22°C-28°C) when performing fast idle speed adjustment.

Ensure that mark on cam and the center of cam follower are aligned as shown in Fig. 2.

Disconnect vacuum hose from TWSV, and connect a suitable hand vacuum pump gauge as shown in Fig. 3.

When applying approximately 40 cm Hg of vacuum to actuator, clearance between actuator rod and idle up adjusting screw should be 0.10-0.12
inch (2.5-3.0 mm).

If clearance is not as specified, adjust to specification with fast idle adjusting screw.
