Fuel Pump: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Remove fuel filler cap to release fuel pressure in tank, then reinstall cap.
3.
Disconnect fuel inlet, outlet and return hoses from fuel pump.
4.
Remove fuel pump attaching bolts, then fuel pump from cylinder head.
5.
Remove fuel pump rod from cylinder head.
6.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque fuel pump bolts to 7-11.5 ft. lbs.
