Front Leaf Spring

1.
Raise and support vehicle, then position suitable jackstands under axle housing.
2.
Remove wheel assembly.
3.
Remove stabilizer nut and bolt.
4.
Remove U-bolt attaching bolts, then U-bolt.
5.
Remove shackle nuts, then leaf spring nuts, Fig. 1.
6.
Pull out leaf spring bolt, then shackle pin and remove leaf spring.
7.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque U-bolt nuts to 43.5-57.5 ft. lbs., shackle pin nut to 22-39.5 ft. lbs., stabilizer bolt to 51-65 ft. lbs. and leaf
spring nut to 33-50.5 ft. lbs.
