Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove two screws and four nuts securing steering column upper and lower trim panels.

3.

Cut shear bolts securing ignition switch, then disconnect electrical connector and remove switch and lock assembly. It may be necessary to
remove column to gain access to ignition switch.

4.

Reverse procedure to install noting the following:

a. Tighten ignition switch shear bolts, until head of each bolt breaks off.
