Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Rear Leaf Spring

Raise and support vehicle. Position suitable jackstands under rear axle assembly.
2.
Remove rear wheel assembly.
3.
Remove U-bolts nuts.
4.
Remove shackle nuts, then leaf spring nuts, Fig. 1.
5.
Pull out leaf spring bolt, then remove leaf spring from shackle pin.
6.
Reverse procedure to install torquing U-bolt nuts to 43.5-57.5 ft. lbs., leaf spring nut to 33-50.5 ft. lbs. and shackle pin bolt to 22-39.5 ft. lbs.
