Special Procedures

Procedures for vehicles in remote areas:

If a vehicle owner in a remote area contacts your dealership with a request for the modification you may, for purposes of customer convenience, ship a
Campaign Kit with installation instructions to the owner at no charge and freight prepaid. Upon receipt of the Sublet Bill for the installation labor, submit
a SCAT claim with variation JK.

Contact your District Service Manager for authorization and claim instruction.

Dear Suzuki Owner:

This notice is to inform you that American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) is conducting a Service Action that may include your vehicle.

Suzuki has determined that the two-piece muffler/tailpipe on 1989-1991 Sidekicks may develop a perforation due to corrosion if the vehicle is frequently
driven on roads where large amounts of salt are applied during winter. Continuing corrosion of a perforated tailpipe can eventually result in the tailpipe
becoming completely separated from the rest of the exhaust system. Exhaust gas leakage from a separated tailpipe can cause heat damage to the vehicle's
rear floor material and carpeting.

To preclude the possibility of heat damage, ASMC is providing installation of a heat shield on affected vehicles at no charge.

If you feel you may frequently drive your Sidekick on roads where large amounts of salt are applied during winter, please contact your nearest Suzuki
dealer to schedule a date for this service and ensure that the dealer will have parts available for your vehicle. Instructions for performing this service have
already been sent to your dealer. The service can be completed in about 30 minutes.

When you arrive for your pre-scheduled service, please present this letter to your Suzuki dealer.

If you have sold or traded your vehicle, please complete the enclosed postage-paid reply card and return it to us.
