Engine Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation
Located at the side of intake manifold, this sensor measures the temperature of the engine cooling water and converts its change into that in resistance
through the thermistor.
That is, as cooling water temperature lowers, resistance increases and as it rises, resistance decreases.
By monitoring the resistance of the water temperature sensor, ECM detects the engine cooling water temperature and that affects most systems under the
control of ECM.
