Kick-Down Cable Adjustment (A/T Only)
Adjusting Kick-Down Cable

Confirm that accelerator cable is adjusted properly.

Loosen kick-down cable lock nuts considerably.
Adjusting Kick-Down Cable

With accelerator pedal pressed fully and kick-down cable pulled in "A" direction, adjust locknut-to-bracket clearance to 0 - 1 mm (0 - 0.039 in) by
turning locknut.
NOTE: When adjusting clearance, make sure adjusting nut does not touch bracket.

Release accelerator pedal and adjust locknut-to-bracket clearance as specified above by tightening adjusting nut. Use care to keep locknut in place.

Pull cable out from keeper bracket slightly to allow adjustment (dotted lines) and return to keeper when finished (solid line).

With adjusting nut in keeper, tighten locknut.
