If voltage is not as specified, check lock-up relay and harness. If no problems are found, the ECU is most likely faulty.
LOCK-UP RELAY AND CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Checking Lock-Up Relay Control Circuit Voltage

With key ON and relay connected, check voltage between terminals "A" and ground. Battery voltage should exist. (Do not press brake pedal.)

With key ON and relay connected, check voltage between terminals "C" and ground. Battery voltage should exist.
If voltage did not exist, check wiring and connectors. Also check brake light switch.
Checking Lock-Up Relay Operation

Using 12Ga. wire, jump terminal "D" to ground. Relay should click and battery voltage should exist between terminal "B" and ground.

Replace relay if results differ.
BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH
