Press the button on the remote transmitter to disarm the system. The following should occur:
^
siren will stop;
^
siren will chirp four times;
^
parking lights will flash four times;
LED starts to flash rapidly, indicating that alarm will re-arm itself in 30 seconds.
PANIC AND AUTO RE-ARMING TEST
NOTE:
Passive arming is for 1994-1995 vehicles only. If you desire passive arming in a 1996 alarm system, connect the blue loop wires together, located on
the side of the alarm controller.
1.
Press the button on the remote transmitter and hold for three seconds to activate the panic mode. The following should occur:
^
siren will go off;
^
parking lights will flash continuously;
^
doors will lock (if equipped with power door locks);
^
LED starts flashing slowly.
2.
Press the button on the remote transmitter to disarm the system (Do NOT open the door). The following should occur:
^
siren chirps four times;
^
parking lights flash four times;
^
LED starts to flash rapidly, indicating that alarm will re-arm itself in 30 seconds.
3.
Wait 60 seconds; alarm will re-arm. The following should occur:
^
siren chirps once;
^
parking lights flash once;
^
doors will lock (if equipped with power door locks);
4.
Press the button on the remote transmitter to disarm the system.
5.
Wait five seconds and open any door. The following should occur:
^
LED stops flashing and stays on;
^
After closing the door, the LED starts to flash rapidly, indicating that alarm will re-arm itself in 30 seconds.
IGNITION ALARM OFF TEST
1.
Turn ignition key to run position.
^
LED should turn off
VALET MODE FOR SHIPMENT
1.
Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
2.
Turn the valet switch to the "ON" position (white dot on switch is in).
3.
Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
