Wheel Hub: Service and Repair
REMOVAL

1. Raise vehicle and remove wheel.
2. Remove locking hub assembly.
3. Remove brake caliper assembly, then suspend out of way.
4. Remove brake disc, then the bearing lock plate retaining screws and lock plate.
5. Using bearing tool No. J37763 or equivalent, remove wheel bearing locknut and washer.
6. Remove entire wheel hub assembly. If assembly can not be removed by hand use tools shown in Fig. 7, to remove.
7. Remove wheel bearing oil seal, then the bearing circlip.
8. Remove bearing outer race using bearing installer handle No. J8092 and front wheel hub bearing remover No. J37772 or equivalent, by tapping
out with hammer.
INSTALLATION
1. Using bearing installer handle No.J8092 and front wheel hub bearing installer J37777 or equivalent, press fit bearing outer race until firmly seated
in wheel hub.
2. Pack bearing with Suzuki Super Grease No. 99000-25010 or equivalent.
3. Install bearing circlip, then the bearing oil seal using front wheel hub and bearing oil seal installer No. J37774 or equivalent.
4. Fill oil seal recess and cover oil seal lip with Suzuki Super Grease No. 99000-25010 or equivalent.
5. Install wheel hub assembly onto front wheel spindle, then the spindle thrust washer.
6. Using wheel bearing tightening tool No. J37763 or equivalent, install wheel bearing nut, then torque to specification.
7. Install brake disc and caliper assembly, torque caliper bolt to specifications.
8. Install wheel, then the locking hub assembly.
