Countershaft: Service and Repair
NOTE: Refer to Overhaul for the disassembly procedure. See: Service and Repair
INSPECTION AND INSTALLATION
1. Install pin, friction gear, friction gear spring, friction gear retainer and circlip in that order.
2. Check tooth surface of gear and rotation of bearing and replace with new one if necessary. As long as no abnormal condition such as noise exists
before removal, replacement is unnecessary.
3. Using Special Tool (C) 09913-84510, press-fit front bearing and fit circlip.
4. With shaft inserted into case, install roller bearing outer race on it and then press-fit shaft by using Special Tool (D) 09951-16080 and hammer.
Meanwhile case should be supported on wood blocks.
