Removal and Installation
REMOVAL:
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable
2.
Disconnect distributor connector and remove spark plug wires from distributor. Remove distributor cap.
3.
Remove distributor flange bolt(s).
4.
Remove distributor housing assembly.
INSTALLATION:

Turn crankshaft clockwise (as viewed from crankshaft pulley side) until V mark on pulley aligns with timing mark 0 on timing tab, Fig. 11.

Turn rotor so that the center of rotor aligns with bolt hole center on housing, Fig. 12.

Insert distributor into gear case in such a way that the center of distributor flange aligns with mounting hole in gear case. When inserting
distributor completely, position of rotor should be as in Fig. 13. Tighten mounting bolt finger tight.
4.
Ensure cap seal is in good condition and properly seated, then install cap.
5.
Connect coupler, wires and battery cable. Then adjust ignition timing as described in ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES.
