Idle Speed: Adjustments

1.

Ensure ignition timing and valve lash are properly adjusted, all vacuum hoses and engine harness connectors are securely connected, the air
cleaner is in good condition, accelerator cable is properly adjusted, and all accessories are off.

Warm engine to normal operating temperature.

Using jumper wire, ground diagnosis terminal in monitor coupler, Fig. 6, and ensure Check Engine light indicates code 12. The monitor coupler is
located near the battery.

Stop engine and connect duty meter between terminals A and C of monitor coupler, Fig. 7.
