Vehicle in remote area:
If a vehicle owner in a remote area contacts your dealership with a request for the modification you may for purposes of
customer convenience ship a Campaign Kit and instructions to the owner; no charge and freight prepaid. Upon receipt of
the Sublet Bill for the installation labor submit a Manual Claim for: The Campaign Kit, Sublet Labor and Freight. (See
Manual Claim Completion)

This notice is to inform you that American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) is conducting a Service Action that may, include your vehicle.
Suzuki has determined that the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Valve breather hose on the 1989-90 1.6 liter Sidekick may freeze during extended
driving at extremely low ambient temperatures of -4 degrees below zero Fahrenheit (-20 degrees Celsius), due to the small inside diameter of the hose. If
this passage freezes, it may result in loss of engine oil and possible engine damage.
To prevent the possibility of the freezing condition, ASMC is providing the owners of the affected vehicles with a new breather hose assembly installed
at no charge. The new assembly has a wider passage which prevents tne hose from freezing.
If you feel you may drive your sidekick under the low ambient temperature conditions described above, please contact your nearest Suzuki dealer as soon
as possible to arrange for a service date and to ensure that your dealer will have the parts available for you. Instruction for performing this service has
been sent to your dealer.
When you arrive for your pre-scheduled service, please present this letter to your Suzuki dealer.
