Remove the outer buckle housing by cutting the housing diagonally from the front using the red latch button bevel as a guide.

Using the large blade screwdriver, insert it into the slot made when you cut the housing and pry only in the direction indicated by the black arrow
to split the case in half. If there is NO printed circuit board in the buckle, go to step 4.

WARNING:

Prying the case in half in the wrong direction on vehicles with seat belt warning lights may cause damage to the buckle internal printed circuit.
Use extreme caution when splitting the halves to prevent pulling the wires off of the printed circuit board.
