Be sure to secure 18 mm for dimension "B" in figure. If not, strap of boot will get caught and cut between plastic spacer and upper joint yoke.

Install plastic spacers to bolts.

Install upper joint to lower shaft.
NOTE:
At this time, check to ensure that strap of boot is not caught between plastic spacer and upper joint yoke.
7)
Tighten new nuts to specified torque
Tightening Torque
(a): 27 N.m (2.7 kg-m), 19.5 lb-ft)
CAUTION:

If the ground wire is connected, install it so as to put it as closely as possible to the center (or lower shaft) as shown in figure. Otherwise wire may
touch boot and damage boot.

Be careful to point ground terminal "A" at the illustrated position when tightening nut. Otherwise wire "A" may touch the other parts and cause
noise.
8)
Make sure that horn operates properly upon completion of all service.
