Intake Air Duct: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.

Air Inlet Pipe (CAMI = Canadian Built, IWATA = Japan Built)

2) Disconnect IAC valve hose and breather hose from air intake pipe.
3) Remove radiator cap to relieve engine coolant pressure and reinstall it.

WARNING:
To help avoid danger of being burned, do not remove radiator cap while engine and radiator are still hot. Scalding fluid and steam
can be blown out under pressure if cap is taken off too soon.
 

4) Disconnect water hoses from air intake pipe.

NOTE: 
Coolant, although small amount, may be released then. Cover hose-to-pipe joint with shop cloth so that released coolant is absorbed on it.

5) Unclamp A/T throttle cable.
6) Remove air intake pipe.

INSTALLATION 

Reverse removal procedure for installation, noting following.
-

Clamp each hose securely.
