Should the hydraulic system fail, the stopper pin is directly come in contact with the big end of the main shaft and transmits steering force lo allow
manual steering.
As the valve is returned smoothly by the reaction force of the torsion bar and spring when the steering wheel is turned, stable steering is assured at
any speed, low or high.
