Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Hoist vehicle and remove wheel.
3. Remove wheel hub. Refer to Transmission and Drivetrain.
4. Support lower arm with jack.

5. Remove tie rod end.

Special Tool (A): 09913-65210 or equivalent.

6. Remove harness clamp bolts and remove front wheel speed sensor from knuckle.

CAUTION:

Do not pull wire harness when removing front wheel speed sensor.

Do not cause damage to surface of front wheel speed sensor and do not allow dust, etc. to enter its installation hole.

7. Remove ball stud nut.

8. Remove strut bracket bolts from strut bracket.
