VIBRATION NOISE AT 2100-2300 RPM

CONDITION:
Vibration noise at 2100-2300 RPM from the catalytic converter.
CAUSE:
Engine resonance causing catalytic converter heat shield to vibrate against the catalytic converter housing.
CORRECTION:
Replace the heat shield and M.I.G. or T.I.G. weld a vibration dampener to the catalytic converter outlet pipe.
In some 1996-97 Suzuki Sport vehicles, engine resonance may cause the catalytic converter heat shield to vibrate. To reduce the vibration noise between
2100-2300 rpm, please follow the procedures outlined in this bulletin.
WARNING:
To avoid the danger of being burned, do not touch the exhaust system when the system is hot. Any service on the exhaust system should be
performed when the system is cool.

To perform the repairs, you will need these countermeasure parts as shown.
