SDM Connector

Shorting bar: Disconnecting the connector from SDM will cause the shorting bar to short between terminals "A6" and "A7" of the connector on the
harness side. (The "AIR BAG" warning lamp circuit is shorted to the ground.) When the ignition switch is turned ON in this state, the "AIR BAG"
warning lamp will stay ON.

Connector position assurance (CPA): The Connector Position Assurance (CPA) is a small plastic insert that is inserted through the lock (locking tabs)
of connector. The purpose of the CPA is to assure the connector halves are securely connected and they cannot vibrate apart. The CPA must be in place
to ensure good contact between the mating terminals.

Terminal retainer (Terminal position assurance, TPA): The function of the TPA is to keep the terminal securely seated in the connector body. The
TPA is not to be removed from the connector body.
