Canister Vent Valve: Testing and Inspection
EVAP Canister Air Valve Inspection

1. Check EVAP canister air valve for damage.
2. Check resistance of air valve.

Resistance between two terminals: 25 - 30 ohms at 20 °C, 68 °F
Resistance between terminal and valve body: 1 Mohms or higher.

If resistance is as specified, proceed to next operation check. If not, replace.

2. Blow air into nozzle "A". Air should come out of nozzle "B".
3. Connect 12 V - battery to air valve terminals.

In this state, blow air into nozzle "A". Air should not come out of nozzle "B".
If check result is not as described, replace air valve.
