Fuel Tank One Way Valve: Service and Repair
FUEL TANK INLET (CHECK) VALVE (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Be sure to read "WARNING" at the beginning of On-Vehicle Service and observe what is written there.
REMOVAL
1. Remove fuel filler cap.
2. Insert hose of a hand operated pump into fuel filler hose and drain fuel in space "A" in the figure (drain fuel through it till fuel stops).
CAUTION: Do not force hose of a hand operated pump into fuel tank.Doing so can damage inlet valve.
3. Hoist vehicle and disconnect fuel tank filler hose from tank.
4. Remove fuel tank inlet valve from tank.
INSTALLATION
1. Install fuel tank inlet valve to tank.
2. Connect fuel tank filler hose to tank.
3. Upon completion of installation, check hose connection for fuel leakage or seepage when refueling.
