Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Removal And Installation

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Removal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector.
3. Remove the CMP sensor.

Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Installation

1. Installation should follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.
2. Install the CMP sensor.

Tighten:
Tighten the camshaft position (CMP) sensor retaining bolt to 10 ~ 14 N.m (89 ~ 124 lb.in).
