Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Removal
1. Relieve the pressure in the coolant reservoir by turning the coolant reservoir cap slightly counterclockwise.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the VIS vacuum tank. Refer to VIS Vacuum Tank Removal. See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Variable Induction System/Vacuum
Reservoir/Service and Repair
4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECTS) connector.
5. Remove the ECTS from the cylinder head.
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Installation
1. Installation should follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.
