Pull up brake pedal toward you.

While pulling the pedal up, adjust the switch position so that the clearance "a" between the end of the thread and brake pedal return cushion is
within the specified clearance.

Clearance "a": 1.5 - 2.0 mm (0.06-0.08 in.)

Tighten the switch lock nut (a) to specification.

Tightening Torque:

5.5 lb-ft (7.5 N.m, 0.75 kg-m)

Plug in the switch connector and reconnect the battery.

Check for proper stop lamp operation. For automatic transmission vehicles, check to make sure the shift lever may be moved out of Park when the
brake pedal is depressed and the ignition key is in the ON position.

Special Service Campaign Sticker Installation:

1.

Install the V7 special service campaign sticker under the driver's door latch catch on the "B" pillar in the area indicated.
