Removal (HO2S-2 without WU-TWC)

WARNING:  To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. Oxygen sensor removal should be performed
when system is cool.

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Remove driver's seat.
3. Remove front left side sill scuff and turn over floor carpet if necessary.
4. Disconnect connector of HO2S-2.
5. Hoist vehicle.
6. Remove oxygen sensor from exhaust pipe.

CAUTION:  Be careful not to expose it to excessive shock. It may cause damage to sensor inside.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure noting the following.

-

Tighten oxygen sensor to specified torque.

Tightening Torque
(a): 45 Nm (4.5 kg.m, 32.5 lb.ft)

Fit harness grommet to floor securely and connect connector securely.

-

After installing oxygen sensor, start engine and check that no exhaust gas leakage exists.
