Timing Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Remove power steering pump belt or A/C compressor belt, if equipped.
3. Remove radiator cooling fan, water pump pulley, water pump drive belt and fan shroud. If it is hard to remove fan shroud, drain engine coolant

and then disconnect radiator inlet hose from radiator.

4. Remove crankshaft pulley by removing 5 pulley bolts.
