Parts Information 

1. Perform the diagnostic steps found in the XL7 Service Manual to determine the cause of the failure and to locate the open connection which is setting
the DTC.

Note:

Always disconnect the battery before performing any diagnosis or repairs to the vehicle's Airbag system.

2. If the connection is loose, remove the connector and reinstall correctly by first pushing the male connector body completely into the female side, and
then pushing the CPA retainer (1) in completely.

3. A condition may exist where the CPA Retainer is broken, missing, or will not seat in the connector correctly. If the connector requires replacing,
please contact the S.M.A.R.T. Technical Hotline. Do not replace the Airbag Harness.

4. After securing the connector and installing the proper CPA Retainer, re-connect the battery, and using the Tech II scan tool, recheck and clear any
related DTC(s), and confirm that your repair(s) were successful.
