Low Tire Pressure Indicator: Service and Repair
With Special Tool

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID CODE.

NOTE: Only up to 4 ID codes of the tire pressure sensor can be registered in TPMS control module. Therefore, register only ID codes of
those tire pressure sensors that are installed to running wheels. If the ID code of the tire pressure sensor that is installed to any other tire
than above 4 is registered to TPMS control module, TPMS control module detects an abnormality of the system when the vehicle is driven
for longer than 10 minutes and makes the low tire pressure warning light to flash.

1. Perform the following Steps a. to c. within 15 seconds after ignition switch turned ON.

a. Press driver side door switch hand within 5 seconds after ignition switch turned ON. Keep the switch pressed for 2 seconds.
b. Release driver side door switch and then press driver door switch for 2 seconds or more by hand.
c. Release driver side door switch and then press driver side door switch for 2 to 5 seconds by hand.

2. Using special tool (09945-86510), activate each tire pressure sensor within 90 seconds. Refer to the instructions of special tool for the method of

activating tire pressure sensor.

NOTE:

-

When tire pressure sensor is activated, flashing LED and beeping sound of special tool indicate an activation of the tire pressure sensor. In case
that LED does not flash and beeping sound is not heard even if special tool is normal, replace faulty tire pressure sensor.

When tire pressure sensor is activated, ID code of the tire pressure sensor is registered automatically in TPMS control module.

If each ID code of 4 tire pressure sensors is not registered in TPMS control module within 90 seconds, start all over from Step 1). Also, it is
possible to check the number of ID codes of tire pressure sensor received by TPMS control module by observing the flashing pattern of the low
tire pressure warning light.

When TPMS control module receives each ID code of 4 tire pressure sensors, TPMS control module turns ON low tire pressure warning light in
combination meter for 5 seconds. If low tire pressure warning light starts flashing ON and OFF after the 5 seconds, replace TPMS control module
with new one because internal fault of TPMS control module has occurred.

3. After registration is completed, turn ignition switch to OFF position.
