9. In order to remove the retainer ring (1) from the shaft (3), grind with a grinder two parts (2) of the bearing retainer ring as illustrated till it becomes
thin.
CAUTION: Be careful not to grind too far not to damage the shaft.
10. Break with a chisel (1) the thin ground retainer ring, and it can be removed.
11. Remove wheel bearing (1) and bearing retainer (2) using special tools as shown in figure.

NOTE: If inner race of wheel bearing is left in axle shaft, remove it from axle shaft with the same procedure as.
CAUTION: Do not reuse wheel bearing.
