Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Testing and Inspection

Load Sensing Proportioning And By-Pass Valve Components

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. Set rear axle load. 

Rear axle load (include vehicle weight): 

924 kg (2,033 lbs.)

2. Install Load Sensing Proportioning Valve 

(LSPV) gauge, Special Service Tool (SST) # 09709 - 29017, and bleed air. 

3. Raise front brake fluid pressure to following specification and check rear brake fluid pressure.

With front brake pressure @ 

6,864 kPa (995.6 psi) rear brake pressure should be 2,707 - 3,883 kPa (393 - 563 psi).
