b. Make sure that the two boots are not stretched or contracted when the drive shaft is at the standard length, the drive shaft standard length is
530.8 +/- 5.0 mm (20.898 +/- 0.197 inch).
c. Place two new inboard joint boot clamps.
d. Bend the band and lock it with a screwdriver.
e. To assemble the two outboard joint boot clamps, pinch the clamps and adjust clearance with the 09521 - 24010 Special Service Tool (SST).
The clearance should be 0.8 mm (0.031 inch) or less.
NOTE: Do not overtighten the SST.

Measure the clearance of the outboard joint boot clamps with the 09240-00020 SST.
