V6 TRUCK AIR CONDITIONER SUCTION HOSE CHANGE

A production change to improve serviceability was made to the material used for the suction hose nut (evaporator side), from steel to aluminum (Kit #
00883 - 35925).

During installation of the suction hose (P/N 88720 - 35170) to the aluminum threads of the evaporator, the following precautions should be observed:

1)

Hose is properly aligned with the evaporator fitting.

2)

One or two drops of refrigerant oil has been placed on the evaporator threads (ND oil # 6 or equivalent).

Because of the soft nature of aluminum, binding may occur during installation or removal if the above precautions are not observed.
