Installation

Steering Knuckle Installation

Note: If installing a replacement knuckle, follow New Steering Knuckle Pre-Installation procedures before proceeding.

1. Push down the lower suspension arm and install the steering knuckle.

2. Connect the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle and install and torque the 4 bolts.

Torque: 58 Nm (590 kg/cm. 43 ft/lb)

3. Connect the upper ball joint to the steering knuckle and install and torque the 4 nuts.

Torque: 142 Nm (1,450 kg/cm. 105 ft/lb)

4. Install a new cotter pin.

5. Install the retainers and cushion to the stabilizer bar link.
6. Connect the stabilizer bar link to the lower suspension arm with the cushion. retainer, new nut and torque the nut.

Torque: 25 Nm (260 kg/cm, 19 ft/lb)
