(a)  Attach a washers and nut to the 4 serration bolts, then torque the nuts to install the serration bolts to the backing plate.

(b) Remove the 4 nuts from the 4 serration bolts.
(c)  Position SST on the backing plate with 4 nuts.

(d) Using a press, press out the rear axle shaft with bearing retainer from the backing plate.
(e)  Remove the SST.

4.  REMOVE OUTER OIL SEAL

Using a screwdriver, remove the oil seal.

5.  REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT BEARING

Using SST and a press, press out the bearing from the backing plate.
