Tire Pressure Module: Service and Repair

REGISTRATION

1. REGISTER TRANSMITTER ID

NOTE:  It is necessary to register the transmitter ID in the tire pressure monitor ECU when replacing the tire pressure monitor valve sub-assy
and/or tire pressure monitor ECU.

a. Set the tire pressure of all wheels to the specified value.
b. Connect the hand-held tester to DLC3.
c. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
d. Read and write down the ID by using the DATA LIST.
e. Select the registration mode "MAIN".
f.

Input the ID using the hand-held tester and transmit it to the tire pressure monitor ECU.

g. Set the ID transmission condition to "COMPLETE".

HINT:  If the operation of step (d) to (f) does not complete within 5 min., the mode will return to the normal operation mode.
