Oxygen Sensor: Description and Operation

    The oxygen sensor is an exhaust manifold mounted measuring device for determining the oxygen content of the exhaust gasses. Since the amount of
oxygen in the exhaust indicates precisely how complete the combustion of the air/fuel mixture in the cylinders is, it is also useful to determine the air-fuel
ratio. A basic function test of the oxygen sensor is found in the "DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING" section.
