Axle Shaft: Service and Repair
Axle Shaft Assembly, Constant Velocity Type
Removal
REMOVAL OF FRONT DRIVE SHAFT
1. LOOSEN NUTS HOLDING FRONT DRIVE SHAFT
Loosen the six nuts, while depressing the brake pedal.
2. REMOVE FREE WHEELING HUB OR FLANGE
3. REMOVE SNAP RING AND SPACER
Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring from the drive shaft.
