Windshield Washer Relay: Testing and Inspection

Inspect low speed motor operation as follows:
a. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 6 and negative to terminal 5, Fig. 47.
b. Ensure motor operation.

Inspect motor operation, stopping at stop position, as follows:
a. Operate motor, then disconnect terminal 6 to stop motor operation.
b. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 3 and negative lead to terminal 5.
c. Connect terminals 2 and 5.
d. Ensure motor stops running at stop position after motor operates again.
e. If operation is not as indicated, replace motor.
