To ensure back door support on certain 2003 model year 4Runner vehicles, the back door stays have been changed.

NOTE:

Before installing new back door stays, check the lot number located at the base of each stay body as indicated in the illustration shown. If the lot
numbers match those indicated below, do NOT install them:

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
