Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

YAWRATE SENSOR 

REPLACEMENT 
1. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY
2. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER
3. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.1
4. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.2
5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY REAR 

6. REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR

a. Disconnect the yawrate sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yawrate sensor.

7. INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR

a. Install the yawrate sensor with 2 bolts.

Torque: 13.3 Nm (136 kgf-cm, 10 ft. lbs.)  

b. Connect the yawrate sensor connector.

8. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSY REAR
9. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.2

10. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH NO.1
11. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSY UPPER
12. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY
13. PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION See: Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and

Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate and Deceleration Sensors

14. CHECK VSC SENSOR SIGNAL
