NOTE: To avoid damage to the SST do the following.
-

Set SST arms to allow clearance to hold a Droll coil between them.

-

Do not compress the coil spring more than necessary.

-

Do not use an impact wrench.

b. Remove suspension support center nut.
c. Remove these parts from the shock absorber, the two retainers, the cushion, the suspension support and the coil spring.

ASSEMBLY

1. Install the coil spring to the shock absorber by performing these steps.

a. Using the 09727-00060, 09727 - 30021 Special Service Tool (SST), compress the coil spring.

NOTE: To avoid damage to the SST do the following.

-

Set the SST arms to allow clearance to hold a eight roll coil between them.

-

Do not compress the coil spring more than necessary.

-

Do not use an impact wrench.

b.

Install the coil spring to the shock absorber.

NOTE: Fit the lower end of the coil spring into the gap of the spring seat of the shock absorber.

2. Install the suspension support, doing the following.

a. Install the two retainers, suspension support and cushion to the rod.
b. Temporarily tighten a new suspension support center nut.

c. Align the suspension support with the shock absorber lower bushing, as shown. 

NOTE: Face the lower end of the coil spring to the outside of the vehicle.

d. Remove the SST.

NOTE: After removing the SST, recheck the direction of the suspension support.

e. Tighten the suspension center nut to 25 Nm (18 ft.lbs.).
