Introduction
Some 2006 - 2007 model year Avalon vehicles may exhibit a M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC P0456 (Evaporative Emissions Control System Leak
Detected Very Small Leak).

The charcoal canister manufacturing process has been improved. Use the following repair procedure to diagnose and repair customer complaint vehicles.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Federal Emissions Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first,
from the vehicle's in-service date. For California specification vehicles sold, registered, and operated in California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont,
this repair is covered under the California Emission Warranty, which is 84 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service
date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
