INSPECTION PROCEDURE 

NOTE:  When replacing the ABS & TRACTION actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration.  See: Antilock Brakes / Traction Control
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/ABS W/EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC System/Calibration

Brake Warning Light Circuit (Does Not Light Up)

BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT (DOES NOT LIGHT UP) 

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION 
If any of the following is detected, the BRAKE warning light remains on:

-

The skid control ECU connector is disconnected from the skid control ECU.

-

The combination meter connector is disconnected from the combination meter assembly.

-

The brake fluid level is insufficient.

-

The parking brake is applied.

-

The EBD is defective.

-

There is a malfunction in the skid control ECU internal circuit.
